菊竹清訓：建築家。1928年4月1日福岡県久留米市生まれ。1950年、早稲田大学理工学部建築学科卒業後、株式会社竹中工務店に入社。1953年、菊竹建築研究所開設。1960年、メタボリズム・グループを結成。2011年12月26日没。
菊竹清訓建築設計事務所：1953年菊竹清訓により菊竹清訓建築研究所として設立。1962年菊竹清訓建築設計事務所に改称。2011年解散。
